Duke Behavioral Health Informatics Implements Wireless Clinical System Configuration
Raleigh, NC – December 5, 2007 – Duke University’s Behavioral Health Informatics Division, a leading developer of clinical information systems for Behavioral Healthcare, today announced the first successful implementation of a fully wireless, remote access client configuration for their electronic medical record, CRIS (Clinical Research Information System).
Aurora Mental Health, located in Aurora, Colorado elected to implement the wireless configuration for their team of school-based therapists. The organization equipped each clinician with a Microsoft Windows equipped laptop and a Verizon Communications USB Wireless Card to establish instantaneous Internet connectivity from any site accessible via the extensive and reliable Verizon network. Once connected, therapists authenticate their respective identities onto Aurora’s secure, password-protected VPN, and access CRIS for their daily medical record documentation.
